Applied Autonomy

Software that acts on your behalf, but never without your permission.

Applied Autonomy LLC is a small startup based in Denver, Colorado.

We build autonomous software tools and applications that run locally on your PC, safeguard your privacy, and do not mine or sell your data, as a design principle. We are a values-based company, and the code we write has those values baked in. We value privacy. We value sovereignty. We value trustlessness. We value freedom. We value decentralization. We value agency. And we value autonomy.

Welcome aboard.

01 · The mission

The other kind of autonomous software.

Autonomous software is arriving faster than the trust required to use it. Most of it is built to maximize engagement, harvest data, or say whatever makes the metric go up. We build the other kind: agents that run on your machine, work only for you, and are constrained by structure rather than promises.

Where a competitor writes a policy, we write a proof — our safety guarantees are enforced in code and verified by tests, not asserted in a document you’ll never read.

02 · What we make
Product

CareerSeeker

A private job-search agent for your Windows PC. It finds roles that fit and, from its next release, prepares tailored application drafts from your real experience — and in Basic and the beta, you review and send every one yourself. An Android companion app is in alpha; iPhone is in development.

03 · Operating principles

Five rules we build by.

No.PrincipleWhat it means
01Local-firstYour data stays on your device. We don’t build products that require us to see your life.
02Structurally honestIf our software makes a claim about you, it can prove it. Truthfulness is enforced by construction, not by instruction.
03You hold the penAutomation ends before the moment that matters. In CareerSeeker Basic and the beta, our agents prepare; you decide.
04No dark patternsWe don’t manufacture urgency, hide the off switch, or charge for visibility into what we’re doing on your behalf.
05Honest economicsWe tell you what things cost and why. Free where it should be free, paid where it’s genuinely worth paying for.

Principles are enforced in code and verified by tests; this table is the readable copy.

04 · How we work

Guarantees in code, decisions with you.

Every safety promise we make about a product is enforced in its code and checked by automated tests on every change — for CareerSeeker, that includes proving it has no way to send email and that its claim checks can’t be skipped. The person using our software makes the decisions that matter. The evidence for each guarantee is available to auditors on request; for CareerSeeker, see the Evidence section of its trust page.
